From the Grisons to Olympia
Sandro Viletta grew up in La Punt in the Engadine region and developed a fascination for the world of skiing at an early age.
He laid the foundations for his success as a top athlete early on by competing at Junior level. In 2004, the talented young ski racer won the Swiss Junior Championship in giant slalom, an achievement that paved his way to joining the sporting elite. Top ten rankings in the FIS Skiing World Cup, several Swiss championship titles - one sporting highlight followed the next. With his aspiration to give the maximum at all times and his willingness to always put in a top performance, Sandro Viletta ultimately won the World Cup held in Beaver Creek in 2011.
The ambitious Swiss athlete celebrated his biggest success to date at the Winter Olympics in Sochi, where he won gold in the super combination.
