Hotel of the year 2022 - Castello del Sole, Ascona

We’re delighted to present, along with our friends Gault Millau, the “Hotel of the Year” award to the Castello del Sole in Ascona. The five-star hotel is distinguished by its ability to offer traditional hospitality and cuisine while embracing the industry’s most appealing trends. The hotel’s own park, with an area of some 110,000 square meters, is home to a jaw-dropping 362 species of trees and shrubs. The presentation of the prize marked the 15th time Carl F. Bucherer has partnered with GaultMillau to award the coveted Hotel of the Year honor.
