On Friday, October 11, 2013, The Lost Tree Club in North Palm Beach, Florida held the 13th annual Jupiter Invitational Golf Tournament. Considered one of the premiere golf events in the north end of the county, this event has raised over $1,400,000 in just 13 years for local agencies helping the less fortunate children in North Palm Beach County and South Martin County. Carl F. Bucherer, together with Provident Jewelry, were team sponsors of the tournament and helped contribute to the foundations great success.
The day included 18 holes of golf on one the most prestigious courses, lunch, a raffle and silent auction, which included a Patravi ChronoDate watch donated by Carl F. Bucherer & Provident Jewelry, with awards and recognition following the tournament. All 100 Participants were invited to indulge in the many comfort stations along the course as well as several on course competitions and engagements. Each Par 3 held a different contest ranging from a hole in one for a BMW, $25,000 cash, a Carl F. Bucherer 18k rose gold Patravi Calendar watch, which all raised funds for the Edna W. Runner Tutorial Center Yellow School Bus Fund. The Foundation was started to enhance programs in North Palm Beach County for children and families that support development and growth among citizens in need. It also provides financial assistance to children who cannot afford programs offered by various organizations. The Foundation strives to promote the creation of opportunities for at risk children and their families. Proceeds from the event have benefited the West Jupiter Tutorial Center, the Thelma B. Pittman Preschool, the First Tee of the Palm Beaches and the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation. Honorary Chairs include; legendary American golfer, Jack Nicklaus and his wife Barbara Nicklaus, long standing Underwriters; Peacock & Lewis, Braman Motorcars and the Board of Directors of the Jupiter Children's Foundation. LPGA Life Member, Maria Marino, who serves as Executive Director of the Foundation and Tournament Director was thrilled to have Barbara Nicklaus in attendance to receive a $10,000 grant for the Nicklaus Children's Health Care Foundation. LPGA Tour Professional, Michelle McGann was also in attendance. Representatives of Carl F.
