We are excited to announce that Swiss hockey star Nico Hischier has joined our family of ambassadors. The young captain of the NHL’s New Jersey Devils embodies our defining values: performance, Swissness, team spirit, a strong sense of family, and the determination to succeed.

Every hockey fan knows that Nico has already made quite an impression on his sport. He was only 22 when he was named captain of the Devils at the beginning of the 2021 season, becoming the youngest active captain in the league. His history of blazing trails started even earlier. In the NHL’s 2017 Entry Draft, he was the first Swiss-born player to be selected first overall before helping the Devils return to the playoffs for the first time in six years. He was named an NHL All-Star in 2020. Not surprisingly, Nico also remains a dominant player for the Swiss national team. Like Carl F. Bucherer, he is rooted in Switzerland but at home in the world. Welcome aboard, Nico!
