Carl F. Bucherer is proud to be a supporter of the Only Watch charity auction for the third consecutive time. Proceeds from the biennial event will go towards the fight against Duchenne muscular dystrophy. The Swiss watchmaker will be donating a unique Patravi ScubaTec timepiece, specially created for the auction held November 9, 2019. The highest bidder will also be treated to an exclusive trip to the birthplace of the brand’s Swiss watchmaking heritage. This Only Watch initiative is yet another way in which the Lucerne-based watchmaker strives to live out its values and make lasting contributions.

Carl F. Bucherer Only Watch 2019: A One-of-a-Kind Diver’s Watch

This year’s lucky color is blue. The vibrant hue adorns the dial, bezel, and rubber strap of the Patravi ScubaTec Only Watch 2019. Water resistant up to 500 m (50 atm), this bold gentleman’s watch boasts a 44.6 mm case crafted from 18 k white gold. The silhouettes of eight manta rays – a nod to how many times the Only Watch auction has been held – grace the dial. A unidirectional rotating bezel in white gold and ceramic, the ample use of Super-LumiNova coating, and a helium release valve flanking the case are the numerous safety features that make this special edition of the Patravi ScubaTec a true diver’s instrument. The DLC-coated case back features an engraving acknowledging that the watch was part of the exclusive Only Watch auction. The timepiece is powered by a CFB 1950.1 caliber automatic movement with a power reserve of 38 hours. Its high level of precision has earned it official chronometer certification from the Swiss Chronometer Institute (COSC). The Carl F. Bucherer Only Watch 2019 earns high marks when it comes to precision timekeeping, design, and passion for craftsmanship.

The Only Watch auction: Coming Together for a Good Cause

Every two years, top watchmakers come together and offer up their craftsmanship to benefit the Monaco Association Against Muscular Dystrophy (AMM). Their exceptional examples of watchmaking artistry will be up for grabs at the eighth edition of the Only Watch auction on November 9, 2019. The Only Watch auction has been a great success over the years, with 99 percent of the approximately CHF 40 million in proceeds going directly to research efforts against muscular dystrophy. Carl F. Bucherer is proud to once again support the auction with the donation of a unique timepiece. This year’s donation is also being expanded to include a one-of-akind experience: the highest bidder and one companion will be treated to a two-day trip to the birthplace of the brand, complete with a stay at Hotel Château Gütsch and tours of Lucerne’s old town and the Carl F. Bucherer ateliers.
